Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update From VGH Thrift Store

Due to challenges caused by coronavirus (COVID-19), we’re providing our customers with extra support and resources.

First and foremost we hope that you are all safe, well and healthy. This has been a hard time for all of us and we’ve missed you.

After weeks of planning and lots of hard work we’re very pleased to let you know that we’re open again. We couldn’t be happier.

The safety of our volunteers, staff and customers remains our highest priority so you’ll notice new precautions in place at the store. We hope everyone understands and respects these measures that will help our community stay safe and healthy.

Store hours are 11am to 4pm Monday – Saturday. We are currently closed Sunday.

Customers are respectfully asked to wear a mask while in the store (bring your own or buy a new one for just $1)

Donations are accepted during store hours only but please help us by following these guidelines:

Clothes should ideally be freshly washed and folded into a plastic tote or box (you can have the tote back) as this allows us to safely inspect, unpack and then sell them. Avoid putting clothes into plastic bags at this time. One tote of clothes per customer at this time please.

Housewares and other items would ideally be packed in cardboard boxes.

We may limit the quantity of donations depending on available space so it’s best to call ahead and ask.

DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING AT THE BACK OF THE STORE

Donations left unattended at the back of the store cannot be sold and will be placed into the garbage.

Thanks again for your amazing support and your patience as we reopen with enhanced safety measures. See you (and your friends) soon.
